CFS Member Revenue Model

Many Credit Unions would like to better understand the revenue that is being generated by each member. This is difficult as the data is spread across multiple sources, buried in transactional records, or does not really exist in detailed terms.
CFS Insight’s Member Revenue model brings together all of the varied sources of loan revenue and maps that revenue to the member, account, product, and period where it originated. The model includes share revenue sources such as fee revenue and includes estimated interchange income in cases where the transaction level interchange income is not provided by the debit/credit card processor.

CFS Insight’s Member Revenue model exposes the loan and share revenue for the member over time to inform product promotions as well as interactions with the member by staff and systematic processes that engage the member.

Some of the more common use case for CFS Insight’s Revenue Model include:

  • Influencing marketing and promotional offers based upon revenue already obtained by the member.
  • Informing retail staff with revenue information when interacting with member requests / issues.
  • Evaluating the cost of offering certain products based upon the revenue generated for the credit union

Common Questions

Out of the box it does not include profitability. What a CU wants to include for their costs and how they are distributed can vary widely. Therefore, adding cost to the model is part of consulting services.
